If I Believe
Some one we loved and respected years ago sang from the heart
and I quote:
”You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one… (taken from Imagine by John Lennon).
My dream
My name is Laurene Omedal and I am one of those dreamers who are doing what they can to make peace more of a reality
and I believe that we can create peace in our world. In fact I have no doubt that one day there will be peace.
It is becoming more and more apparent to me that we all want it and only a small group of unhappy misguided people
think they don’t. So in the tradition of that wonderful song I quoted above
I am about to do my bit to make the world a little bit better and closer to the large goal of peace in our world.
“I hope some day you will join us and the world will be as one”
What is happening now
I would like to just fill you in, as to the full picture of what is happening with the project now in 2009.
The huge scale childrens peace song “If I Believe", has been put on hold, and we now have two songs which are going to be used to help to create the vibrations we need with some of the proceeds the songs will make which will go towards helping kids in war zones.
The two songs are “I wish you peace” and “If I believe”.
As the Universe is helping “I wish you peace” to move on at a rapid pace, with thousands of extra viewings and international acclaim, I will first focus on this song and wait a little longer to create the larger, clubby “If i believe”.
The Present Nov 2009
The song on www.youtube.com/omedal1 , which was filmed in my living room and at Hughenden valley in Nov 2007, is now growing and getting more and more momentum as it is being streamed for xmas on the Global peace network.
It is also awaiting release on American cable television.
This songs show that peace is attainable as it was sung by myself a Jew and Jules a Muslim and Catholic and the children where from mixed Pagan, Quaker, Christian and Bahia faiths.
The plan for the new year is to create a new all year round video of this song, as I feel it seems to all come to an end at xmas, and I would like to see this project grow and flow all through the year.

"ifibelieve/God Parents For peace" At long last I know how
to get the peace project going as I Have come up with a simple
workable and exciting way to get going on creating a bit more peace in
our world.
I have come to realise this year that love is very strong in our world
and have Watched the love mothers in Israel and other war torn
countries and whole over our world have for their children that I was
able to try and find a way to extend love to those little children in
war zones that dont get this as easily as some. And through meeting
some amazing people and discussing how to do what we can to help to
show these kids a little bit of the other side of life ie that your so
called enemy is not really that. We all agreed that it needs to
start with education from a tiny age so that little child grows up
with a different perspective as well as their family.s Louise
Hay in her books says that babies are born with a clean slate and as
they grow they are conditiond and told to believe what their parents
tell them. Then their teachers etc... So what if there
was another influence in that childs life who can love them so they
know that they may not know all the answers and as the grow up they
have another attitude based on love for themselves and their fellow
man. Wow! think how this could create more peace as there would be no
such thing as an enemy religion as your so called enemy would be the
other loving element in your life. I BELIEVE ITS Possible
it may take a while but its tiny little chunks of Peace that will grow
I will be developing the project which will enable me to match up a
person from one religion with a new born baby or child from a
contrasting religion.
The aIm of this
1.To prove that love is stronger than hate
2. Giving a little child the oppurtunity to recieve love and support
through letters Birthday cards from their so called enemy to enable
the child to grow up with more of an awareness of their so called
enemies religion and the knowledge that they are supported and loved
by this other human who may be deemed as evil in their immediate
environment
3 the god parent may like to contribute towards the childs education
and so give the dissadvantaged child more choices like learning drama
music and how to be able to learn how to thrive better
4 money is not an issue here as everyone who gets involved can limit
their support to letters only
5 I would find suitable families all over the world interested in this
and match suitable volenteers to them
6 The only requirement to become a God parent is a big heart and a
contrasting religion or culture to the child And.a willingness to stay
in contact as much as possible with the child and the family.
7 I will be using my peace music to help fund this as well as seeking
out celebrities and funding to develop this more

My dad is a good example to how love is stronger than difference
between religions
A little jewish orphan who at the age of 13 was taken off the streets
by a lovely angel who was christian who loved him like a son and
helped him,teach me to respect people no matter who they are and what
they believed in
My dad was taught to respect his Judism as well as others too.If it
wasnt for this women who i feel saved my dads life
He would have been lost in the system and I may not be here and my dad
who is 88 now will never forget such loving kindness
Would you like to help a child thrive too I know I would.

- 1) 5000 pounds to create a new professional dvd for the media, as we cannot get the Youtube video played properly on the media, we need a very professional one done.
I am asking for funding through sponsorship, lottery, donations and any way you can offer this support.
- 2) A professional technician who will create this dvd for us.
- 3) Publicity in the local press to get the kids and adults who can sing great new harmonies which will be created for the song.
- 4) A great commercial singer, who can recreate the style of the song with me singing the classical sections.
- 5) A studio to record the song in with me and the choir.
- 6) A marketing director.
- 7) A musical director to work with me to create a great sound.
- 8) Anyone who can help with admin emails typing letter etc......

The Nightingale of peace
I am also releasing an album to help get more singing engagements and get the message across “The Nightingale of peace” will come out in the next few months.
This song will incorporate on it, a new song I have written based on the Saint Francis
of Assisi prayer for peace, called “Love make me an Instrument of peace”
A newsletter, which you will be able to sign up for, will come out in the next few months too, and this will enable me, to keep in touch with my subscribers.
I would like to achieve this goal by March 2010.
So we can try and put the video forward to the Global peace concert in Beijing.
This is the near future.
